2nd October
From Catalunya to Cleveland.

Both artists are clearly inspired by the vibrant city of Barcelona in which they live. While Oriol’s purpose for making work is specifically about the process, Carles’ paintings are more an investigation into abstraction. Both artists’ carefully chosen use of colour and free application of paint can be seen in their work.

3rd October
Wine and Cheese Evening 6 -8pm.
Artists’ Talk by Catalan Painters Oriol Mora and Carles Guitart will be talking about their work in the current exhibition and discussing ‘Catalan painting from Modernity to Post Modernity’.

31st October
Workshop for Children! This will run from 10am-12noon. Come and have some Halloween fun creating masks and other spooky things with Mags and Rachel. This will be open to children aged 8 upwards. Kevin Palmer Oil painter will be selling his current art works of local scenes until the 28th November.

The Current Exhibition ‘From Catalunya to Cleveland’ will continue until the 22nd of November.

7th November
Workshop for Children! This will run from 10am-12noon. Come and paint with Mags, Mags will be using the work in the gallery to inspire this workshop and will be teaching some basic painting techniques. This will be open to children aged 8 upwards. DECEMBER

4th December
‘Off the Shelf’
Preview 7pm -9pm.
Our annual selling exhibition is back, with a diverse selection of Artists exhibiting again this year. Artworks will include prints, photography, jewellery, artists’ books, glassware, ceramics and painting, to name but a few. Once again each week, works will be moved around, swapped with those in storage, with new works replacing those which have been sold, creating a constantly changing exhibition. All works are for sale, making SALTBURNARTISTS’PROJECTS an ideal place to buy an unusual gift. The exhibition will close on the 24th January 2010, so please come and treat yourself if Santa gave you money for Christmas.

4th December
Open studios 6-9pm
Come and join us for a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie! Studio tenants will be opening their doors to the public for one day only. This will be a fantastic opportunity to purchase unique hand made artworks for that special Christmas gift.

19th December
